Hosted by the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre, the Protolaunch 2011 competition was a huge success.  Six teams worked throughout the summer after being chosen from a larger group of students taking classes throughout the year.  During the classes, students competed for buttons that signified participation in various extracurricular activities throughout the year.  Numerous industry professionals from all over North America came to speak to the students, and workshops were held on weekends as well.  Those students who had collected the most buttons for participation were chosen to take part of the summer competition.  And the final games spoke for themselves!

We recorded the awards ceremony at Algoma University, and watched demos of each of the six games created.  The students seemed very proud of their work, and their advisors even more so.

So without further ado, here’s the video!
